Introduction

TriLux is a blackjack side bet based on the first two player cards and the dealer up card. It is similar to the 21+3 side bet, except adds a fixed bonus for the dealer on any winning hand.

Rules

The same bet with double odds in crapless craps has a 2.02 percent edge making in a much less desirable bet. It makes placing the 6 and/or 8 a less costly option as that bet carries a house edge of only 1.52 percent, and has a hit frequency second only to the 7. At triple odds one could take 3x on the 4&10, 2x on the 5&9 and 1x on the 6&8. Jon from Danville, New Hampshire No combination of bets can give the player an advantage. The side bet is based on the use of ordinary 52-card decks.
Winning hands are based on three cards — the initial two player cards and the dealer up card.
There are three tables, as shown below. They show the pay table for the player, which is based on the bet amount, as usual. They also show the 'Lucky George,' which is a flat win paid to the dealer, regardless of the bet amount.

You may be wondering why the award to the dealer is called a 'Lucky George bonus.' All I know for sure is that a good tipper is called a 'George.' Meanwhile, a stingy tipper is called a 'stiff.' One theory is that a dollar bill features George Washington, and at the time that the saying caught on $1 was still a good tip.

Las Vegas Craps Odds

Most craps tables on the Las Vegas Strip offer 3/4/5 times odds. This means that a player can wager three times the flat bet on a 4 and 10, four times on a five and 9, and five times on a six and eight. The maximum win with odds on any of these numbers equals six times the flat bet. A notable exception is The Cromwell, where players may take odds for up to 100 times the original wager.
